Ski and ride lesson program details
Our programs offer comprehensive support, including transportation to and from Denver to Winter Park Resort, thanks to the generosity of homeJames and Grand Mountain Rides. At Winter Park Resort, renowned for its ski and ride school, participants receive a full day of expert instruction in skiing or snowboarding. To keep energy levels up, snacks are provided on the journey, and Winter Park Resort's ski school program ensures lunch is included. Additionally, participants receive rental ski or snowboard equipment, helmets, and lift tickets as part of the Ski and Ride School experience. Thanks to High Country Access, ski pants, ski jackets, and gloves are also provided to program participants, and they get to keep these items, ensuring everyone has the gear they need for a comfortable and enjoyable experience on the slopes, even after the program ends.
As part of our commitment to education and community engagement, we've partnered with Grand County associations https://headwaterstrails.org to offer participants additional learning opportunities. Through these partnerships, participants gain insights into the natural wonders and cultural heritage of the Winter Park area. They learn about the region's rich biodiversity, including its flora, fauna, and unique environment, as well as its Native American heritage.
Additionally, our program includes educational sessions on the history of Grand County and the significance of skiing in the area. Participants discover the area's role as the headwaters of the Colorado River and its importance in shaping the region's landscape and culture. By exploring these topics, participants gain a deeper appreciation for the land they ski on and the community they're a part of, enriching their overall experience on the slopes.
